SEVENTEEN is a male idol group under Pledis Entertainment, debuted in 2015 with ‘Adore U’.
They are a group of 13 members, 3 units, and one team, and the meaning of the group name is ’17’.
SEVENTEEN, famous for being a ‘self-produced idol’, has members directly participate in music production and choreography creation, showing off their outstanding musical skills.
SEVENTEEN, who debuted through a reality program called ‘SEVENTEEN Project – Debut Operation’, achieved the best performance among male idol groups that debuted in 2015, selling 250,000 copies of two albums in less than a year on the Gaon Chart.

S.Coups
Real name: Choi Seung-chul

S.Coups is from Daegu Metropolitan City and is the leader and main rapper of SEVENTEEN.
He has been the team leader since before SEVENTEEN’s debut, and is famous for his charisma and powerful performance on stage among SEVENTEEN members.
He participates in not only rapping but also writing lyrics and composing, and with his balanced rapping style and strong stage presence, he plays an important role in SEVENTEEN’s music and performances.
It is said that he was street-casted by a Pledis official while playing soccer with his friends in his second year of middle school and entered the path of becoming a singer.
At the time, he was an ordinary student who dreamed of becoming a gym teacher, but he passed the audition right away despite being late, and joined Pledis Entertainment in May 2010. However, it is said that he experienced many frustrations during his long trainee life of about 5 years.
The stage name ‘S.Coups’ is a combination of his real name Choi Seung-chul and “S” which means Seventeen, and “COUPS” which means coup and great success, meaning “Choi Seung-chul’s great success”.
Because of his unique pronunciation, he is often mispronounced, and he also has various nicknames.
S.Coups, who is sometimes mistaken for being mixed-race due to his exotic appearance, is characterized by his intense eyes and distinct facial features.
However, due to his affectionate and charming behavior, he is nicknamed ‘Seung-haeng-seol’ among fans, and is considered the most trustworthy person in the team.
Jeonghan
Real name: Yoon Jeonghan

Nationality: South Korea
Position: Sub vocalist
Height: Approximately 178 cm
Jeonghan is a sub vocalist of SEVENTEEN and one of the visual members of SEVENTEEN.
Born in Seoul, Jeonghan also attended an acting academy during high school and was street-casted at a subway station before joining Pledis Entertainment in 2013.
Originally dreaming of becoming a barista, he laid the foundation for becoming a singer through his trainee life and has taken on various roles in SEVENTEEN’s music.
Jeonghan has the nickname ‘Angel’, which comes from his birthday and his angelic visuals and personality.
He debuted with long hair and left a strong impression on the public, and he boasts a cute appearance with his big double eyelids, long eyelashes, and round head. He has a warm personality and deep affection for the members, so he is said to be the one who listens to the members’ inner thoughts within the team.

Joshua is a Korean-American from LA, California, who is fluent in Korean, English, and Spanish.
He is the sub vocalist of SEVENTEEN and is characterized by his soft and sweet voice. Joshua is nicknamed ‘Church Oppa’ and has an intellectual yet elegant impression and boyish charm.
His long neck, cat-like appearance, chubby aegyo-sal, and upturned lip corners add to his charm.
Musically, he is skilled at playing the guitar and has contributed to expanding SEVENTEEN’s musical spectrum by participating in many of SEVENTEEN’s songs.
He has various hobbies, such as bead crafts, clay crafts, and perfume.
