Today, I’m going to introduce the members of the girl group IVE, which is so hot these days.
IVE is under Starship Entertainment and debuted in 2021.
It consists of six members, and the team name IVE is derived from I’VE, an abbreviation of ‘I HAVE’, and it contains the ambition of ‘We will proudly show you everything we have.’ IVE, which is gaining much popularity for its girl crush concept that contrasts with its cute appearance, will now delve into the charms of each member in earnest~!
Ahn Yu-jin

Ahn Yu-jin, a member and leader of IVE, was first introduced to the public through Mnet’s survival program ‘Produce 48’ in 2018, and was selected as the final member and worked as a member of IZ*ONE.
Ahn Yu-jin is not only the leader of IVE, but also shows off her outstanding skills in various fields such as vocals, dance, visuals, and entertainment. S
he is particularly active as a core member of the vocal line, taking on high-pitched parts and ad-libs.
She also shows off excellent performances in dance, and is loved by the public for her bright and energetic appearance on entertainment programs.
An Yu-jin’s versatility is the reason why she is recognized as a representative of the 4th generation girl group all-rounders.
Gaeul
Real name: Kim Ga-eul

Position: Main dancer, sub-rapper
Height: Approximately 164cm
Aeul, who plays the role of an emotional rapper and fairy, was selected by Starship Entertainment at the ‘Incheon Youth Dance Competition’ in her third year of middle school and entered the entertainment industry.
She said that she only found out about the casting later.
Despite her parents’ opposition, she passed the audition with her family’s support and began her life as a full-fledged trainee.
She was a trainee with An Yu-jin and Jang Won-young, and she is said to be the only IVE member who knew the two of them because their trainee periods overlapped.
Gaeul, who is in charge of the rap part in IVE, shows off clean and attractive raps with a powerful yet soft voice that can handle various tones.
As the eldest sister of IVE, she wants to take charge of ‘sexiness’ alone in IVE, but she says that sexiness is hers from the beginning and that Ahn Yu-jin, who became an adult in 2022, is holding her back.
Lay

Position: Lead rapper, sub vocalist
Height: Approximately 169 cm
Lay, who is from Japan, is a rapper and dancer in the team.
In 2018, Lay gained confidence thanks to her mother’s encouragement and participated in the ‘Loen Friends Global Audition in Japan’.
Despite her sudden participation in the audition, she caught the eyes of the judges and signed a contract with Starship Entertainment.
Lay, who is in charge of rap, shows off her excellent sense of rhythm and pronunciation in IVE’s songs and is evaluated as having accurate Korean pronunciation despite being Japanese. Also, she is a rare female idol rapper with the ability to write rap lyrics, which sets her apart as an artist. Her hobbies include drawing and listening to music, and she likes butterfly-shaped props and accessories.
Jang Won-young

Jang Won-young is the center and vocalist for IVE, and is very popular for her outstanding visuals and performance skills.
She has shown various hobbies and talents since she was young, and she originally wanted to be an announcer or a lawyer.
She was cast by Starship Entertainment at her middle school graduation ceremony in 2017 and began her life as a trainee. After winning Mnet’s ‘Produce 48’ in 2018 and serving as the center of IZ*ONE, Jang Won-young re-debuted with IVE in 2021 after the group disbanded.
With her outstanding facial expressions and unique visuals, she is actively working as a model for various advertisements and in collaborations with various fashion brands, gaining attention. Jang Won-young has revealed that she wants to become a multi-entertainer who is active in various fields like actress Jun Ji-hyun, whom she respects, and this ambition and passion makes us look forward to Jang Won-young’s activities in various fields in the future.
Liz
Real name: Kim Ji-won

Nationality: South Korea
Position: Main vocal
Height: Approximately 170 cm
Liz was born in Jeju Special Self-Governing Province in 2004. She moved to Seoul to become a trainee in her third year of middle school and transferred to Unbuk Middle School.
She continued her trainee life by living in Seoul with her mother and younger sibling for two years. Liz, who was a big fan of Taeyeon since childhood, first became known to the public in 2017 when she appeared in Girls’ Generation Taeyeon’s “This Christmas” music video. Later, in 2019, Liz joined the company through Starship Entertainment’s Pepsi Summer Open Audition.
Liz is mainly in charge of vocals, and is characterized by her clear and luxurious tone, and her live skills are especially impressive. Her clear and luxurious tone is called ‘Tone Fairy’ among fans, and she shows her own color on various stages and recordings.
Lee Seo
Real name: Lee Hyun Seo

Lee Seo is the youngest member of IVE.
She was discovered by a Starship Entertainment director while buying a drink at Shinsegae Department Store in the 6th grade of elementary school in 2019 and began her trainee life.
Lee Seo, who started her trainee life as soon as she entered middle school, ultimately trained for about 2 and a half years and debuted as IVE during the winter break of her 2nd year of middle school.
Lee Seo previously worked as a 1st generation kids model for SM Entertainment, and was also selected through a competition rate of 400:1.
Despite her young age, Lee Seo stands out with her charisma and skillful performances on stage. She is in charge of vocals and rap within the team, and possesses a thin and elegant tone and skilled rap skills. Also, Lee Seo’s performance in Ive’s debut song ‘ELEVEN’ as a member of the dance line is a good example of her talent.
Lee Seo, nicknamed ‘youngest’ among fans due to her cute appearance and young age within the group, is actively participating in broadcast programs, advertisement model activities, and various web content productions, and is showing off her dazzling performance.
